Dan Stavnezer

Dan Stavnezer is a long-time resident of Wooster, having moved here more than 16 years ago. He has two children who both attend the Wooster City Schools.

Dan is a licensed professional clinical counselor, providing mental health and substance counseling to children, adolescents, adults and families for over 20 years in a variety of settings. He received his undergraduate degree from Alleghany College and his graduate degree from the University of Connecticut. He is proud to be a small business owner in beautiful Downtown Wooster, where his counseling practice is located.

As a board member, Dan wants to be accessible, open and transparent while working to bridge the gap between the community and the board. He wants to be a representative voice for children and families at all socioeconomic levels and to make sure the board is acknowledging and addressing the impact poverty in Wooster has on students and the overall community
