The Leader in Me

The Leader in Me is taught in grades Pre K- 6.. Teaching students a process that promotes the concept that all students are leaders of their own lives. They are being taught the seven habits: Be Proactive, Begin with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood, Synergize, Sharpen the Saw.

Red Flags National

Red Flags supports mental health education as a universal prevention strategy with a three-pronged objective: the engagement of the entire school community, the nurture of sound mental health habits and appropriate and timely intervention in the event of mental illness. A basic understanding of mental health can also significantly reduce stigma, and eventually eliminate it.

Boys and Girls Club of Wooster

The Boys & Girls Club of Wooster started January 2014 at Edgewood Middle School. Since then, it has served over 1000 youth from all over the City of Wooster through after school and summer programming. In the Fall of 2018, they expanded to Wooster High School. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Wooster is "to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens". 

OHuddle

OHuddle is a non-profit organization supporting students with one to one relationships in the form of mentorship. OHuddle serves students at each of the Wooster City School District buildings by providing mentorship to students in need. OHuddle's mission is to "awaken youth to their unique value through hope filled relationships and one to one mentorship.

United Way of Wayne and Holmes County

United Way advances the common good in communities across the world. Our focus is on education, income and health—the building blocks for a good quality of life.

The Village Network

The Village Network offers school-based treatment programs that operate under the philosophy that young people can do well if they can live in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment. School based mental health services aim to improve a student's funtioning not only in school, but also in the community and at home. The goal is to improve the child's overall mental health and behavioral functioning as evidences by an increase in the academic achievement of the student, a decrease in truancy and tardiness, and a reduction in school suspension, risky behaviors and class disruptions.

Anazao

Anazao is a private, non-profit organization providing treatment, intervention and prevention services to our schools. They're staff includes psychologists, mental health counselors, chemical dependency counselors, social workers, prevention specialist, vocational specialists and case managers. 

The Counseling Center

The Counseling Center is a private, non-profit corporation that provides comprehensive and confidential mental health services in our schools and across Wayne and Holmes County. They help over 3,500 individuals each year and reach over 8,000 additional residents through community outreach programming.
