On Monday, September 29, Wooster High School will be hosting a college fair from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. This is being held in conjunction with the Wayne County Counselors Association. More than 90 colleges and universities will be represented at this annual event.
On Monday, October 6, Wooster High School's Lura B. Kean Chapter of the National Honor Society will induct its newest members. Continuing an 80 year legacy at Wooster High School, NHS honors students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of character, scholarship, leadership and service.
With so much in the media the last few days about a respiratory virus affecting kids in numerous states, including Ohio, we wanted to share some information about this virus with reminders about illness prevention.
(Sept. 17, 2014) – The Wooster City School District recently announced that Wooster High School was recognized by The Daily Beast and a top National High School. The high school was ranked 591 among schools across the United States.
Homecoming festivities will begin with the Homecoming Parade on Wednesday, October 8. The football game against Lexington will be on Friday, October 10, and the Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, October 11, for grades 9-12, at WHS.
Please drop students off at the High School between 7:20 and 7:35. Please stay in line and do not cut in front of others or busses for the safety of all our students and parents. Drop off students in the yellow highlighted area and not in the front circle.
Students can be picked up after busses leave at 2:35.
If your child(ren) will be absent from school, please contact the WHS attendance office at 330-988-1111 ext. 3011 prior to 9:00am. Please leave the date, name of the student, & reason for absence. The attendance line is available 24 hours per day. We try our best to have the most accurate records that we can, so we are hoping that you can help out with this.

Orientation for those students entering grade 8 for the 2014-2015 school year will be August 12, 2014 at 9am. We will have a short introductory program in the PAC and students and families can tour the building and pay fees following the program.

CONGRATULATIONS to Stephanie Haught for having a piece of artwork selected in this years Governor's Youth Art Exhibit! Her piece is one of the TOP 350 in the entire state of Ohio! When you have a chance, give her a high five or fist bump for this AMAZING accomplishment! Her work will be on display at the James A.
Congratulations to Veronica Velasquez, WHS 8th Grader, and Coach Erica Mihoci. Veronica qualified to the Regional Spelling Bee and was a winner (1 of 4) in the Wayne County Spelling Bee.
Wooster High School junior David Burnett was selected as one of six tuba players from throughout the state of Ohio to perform in the Ohio Music Education Association All State Band. Acceptance into the ensemble was as a result of a taped audition. After arriving at the first of two days of rehearsal, all high school musicians auditioned again for seating.
Six Wooster High School Students competed in the JA Business Challenge at Akron University on Friday, March 21, 2014. Congratulations to the one team on winning the JA Business Challenge out 8 school districts and 16 teams.
The 2012-2013 yearbooks are in. Graduates of the class of 2013 may pick their yearbook up in the main office Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Students who are currently attending Wooster High School should see Mr.
We have Cat's Meow items for sale. We have a high school building for $13.00 and the General for $9.00. These can be purchased during regular office hours at the main office of the high school.
The ACT and SAT test times are fast approaching. To help students prepare, you can send them to INFOhio’s Learning Express Library for free practice tests, not only for the ACT and SAT, but also for many advanced placement tests.
Students in grades 9-12 can register to take the ACT during the school day on September 30. There is limited seating and students need to register in the guidance office starting August 25. Cost for the test is $38. Please see attached flier or contact the guidance office for further details.
The Wayne County Counselors' Association College Fair will be held at Wooster High School, Monday, September 29, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Representatives from over 90 colleges, universities, technical schools and military branches will be available to pass out information and speak to students and parents about their institution.
