New Students

A child is eligible for entrance into kindergarten if the child attains the age of five (5) by August 1st of the year in which the child applies for entrance.
While we strive to accommodate students in their home building, class sizes are subject to capacity limits. If a grade level reaches full enrollment, your child may be placed in a nearby school within our district to ensure a quality learning environment for all students.

Overview
Registration Process To begin, create a parent account with FinalForms. You will be instructed to create a login and password which allows you to begin the process, save your information and return at a later date for completion or changes (if necessary). If you already have students attending Wooster City Schools and have created an account using Final Forms, your existing email and password can be used to add a new student. Step 1: Review the required documents needed to register in FinalForms. Step 2: Complete the online enrollment application. Step 3: Once you have completed your online enrollment application, the registrar will contact you.

Checklist of required documents for registration appointment:
1. Proof of Residency (at least one of the following)
- Utility bill (gas, water, electric)
- Mortgage statement/property tax statement
- Deed
- Signed rental agreement
- Voter registration card
2. Birth Certificate or Passport
3. Photo ID for Custodial Parent/Guardian
4. Immunization Records
5. Divorce/Custody Documentation (If applicable) - Must be court signed and date/time stamped
- Final divorce decree which may include shared parenting plan, naming specific parent as the residential parent/school placement parent.
- Temporary order naming specific custodian/guardian
- Grandparent Power of Attorney
- Military Power of Attorney
6. Current IEP (if applicable)

Open Enrollment
OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR GRADES K-12 IS OPEN
Open enrollment requests for the 2025-2026 school year will be accepted beginning March 1, 2025.
Application Window Deadlines:
May 1: Intra-District Open Enrollment – For current Wooster City Schools residents requesting enrollment at a different elementary school within the district.
August 1: Inter-District Open Enrollment – For families residing outside the Wooster City School District who wish to enroll their children in Wooster City Schools.

Intra-district students living within Wooster City Schools boundaries
Families are required to apply for open enrollment each year due to space availability in each elementary school. Applications are accepted between March 1st and May 1st for the following school year. Open enrollment applicants will be prioritized by the date their application was received. No applications will be accepted prior to March 1st.
All open enrollment applications will be acted upon and parents notified.
Inter-district students living outside Wooster City Schools boundaries
Wooster City Schools offers open enrollment statewide, limited to maximum enrollment thresholds, in grades K-12. Applications are accepted between March 1st and August 1st for the following school year. The exceptions are resident students who move away during any given school year. They may apply for open enrollment for the remainder of that school year. Students who have been previously admitted via inter-district open enrollment shall be given preference over new applicants, prioritized by number of years of attendance. Open enrollment applicants will be prioritized by the date their application was received. No applications will be accepted prior to March 1st.
All open enrollment applications will be acted upon and parents notified. By August 1, the parent must notify Wooster City Schools of their acceptance or rejection of open enrollment. Failure to respond will forfeit their application for that year. The administration will determine building assignments. There is no guarantee that the building assignment will prevail in subsequent years. All approved transfers are in effect for one school year. Non-resident students must re-apply each year.
Please understand that there will be no transportation for students who are on open enrollment.
Parents will be required to transport all students on open enrollment.
Inter-district applications are incomplete until proof of residency is provided to the district.

No, our preschool has limited spots for both grant-funded and full-pay students. Full-pay spots fill up quickly, so we strongly recommend completing all forms on Final Forms as soon as possible to improve your chances of securing a spot. The completion date of Final Forms is recorded on all applications.

To begin, go to our district website and click on Portals and choose Final Forms.
First, create your parent profile and confirm your email using the link Final Forms sends you. Then, add your child as an applicant to your profile. A new page will open with red tabs on the left side. The tabs will turn green when you’ve answered all the questions and signed all the forms.

What does it cost to attend Littlest Generals?
Full-pay tuition is $175 monthly or $1575.00 for the full year. Our preschool is grant-funded and operates with a sliding fee scale. Tuition assistance is available for qualifying families. We encourage ALL families to complete the tuition application and submit documents to determine eligibility. Many families qualify for a reduced rate.
How do I apply for grant funding (tuition assistance)?
We are a grant-funded preschool that uses a sliding fee scale. Please fill out the tuition application and upload the application to Final Forms along with one of the required documentation to determine eligibility below:
- Presumptive Eligibility:
- Approval notice for SNAP, Cash Assistance, Medicaid, or Child Care Assistance
- Categorical Eligibility:
- Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Homeless: McKinney Vento Statement
- Child in Kinship Care: Active Case Plan, Family Service Plan, or receiving Kinship Permanency Incentive (KPI)

Preschool tuition is paid monthly, and we ask families to make payments on time. Prompt payments support the seamless operation of our program and help us provide a high-quality experience for your child. The preschool office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Board of Education office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
