Process to Request Disability Accommodations
The District prohibits discrimination against individuals based on disability and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to allow any student, parent or community member to fully engage with the Wooster City Schools. If you believe you require an accommodation to access the District’s programs, including to attend public events or to participate in events such as parent-teacher conferences and/or other meetings related to your child, please contact one of the following individuals, who are two of the District’s Section 504 Compliance Officers:
Brian Madigan
Assistant Superintendent
330-988-1111 ext. 1235
wstr_bmadigan@woostercityschools.org
Molly Richard
Director of Curriculum and Instruction
330-988-1111 ext. 1240
wstr_mrichard@woostercityschools.org
A Compliance Officer will discuss with you any reasonable accommodations that are available to address your needs and will ensure any agreed upon accommodations are implemented to allow you to participate fully in the District’s programs.
If you believe your child requires accommodations to access the District’s educational programs, please contact your child’s classroom teacher or reach out directly to another of the District’s Section 504 Compliance Officers:
Diana McMillen
Director of Student Services
330-988-1111 ext. 1229
wstr_dmcmillen@woostercityschools.org
District staff will then discuss with you the review process for student accommodations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the process for initiating an evaluation under Section 504.
