Wooster High School, in conjunction with One Eighty, will be administering a youth asset survey to our students in grades 8, 10, and 12.
On September 5 through September 8, students in grades 8, 10, and 12 will be given the opportunity to respond to an online survey that will provide important information regarding factors that help youth avoid the use of alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs. The Youth Asset/Substance Use Survey is an instrument that measures a variety of assets students may have in their life that helps them keep away from using substances. Specific questions regarding strengths in their lives, as well as information about past use of substances, will be a part of this survey.
The survey will not ask for the student’s name, or any other information that would indicate who responds to the survey. Results will be reported in a summary format that will help the school, community programs and families become aware of how they can best help all youth avoid the use of drugs and alcohol.
The survey will be administered via computer at the school and will take about 15 minutes to complete.
If you do not want your child to take this survey, please fill out the form below, sign your name, and have your child return it to the school before September 5.
Should you have any further questions regarding the survey itself and its contents; you may contact Mr. Keener, grade 12; Mr. Bratcher, grade 10; or Mr. Wickard, grade 8.
