The Ronald McDonald Dental Care Mobile will be coming to Edgewood on November 17th and 18th. Permission forms were sent home the week of October 20th. The only students who are not eligible for the Care Mobile are those who already have a relationship with a local dentist. The purpose of this program is to help those students who have not been able to access local care.
The School Counselors, School Nurse, and Officer Linz (DARE) will be conducting in-house life skills programming that will address topics of concern common among middle school-aged students. The 5th grade students will receive instruction about Adolescent Growth and Development.

The Book Fair dates and times are listed below. It will be held in the library. Students can visit during their recess time each day. Families and students may also visit during conferences.
Market Day is fundraising food cooperative, providing opportunities to raise money for schools by selling food products. Please take a look at all of the products they have to offer at https://www.marketday.com. Our deadline for paper orders is October 24 in the office, or online orders is October 29 at 11 pm.
There will open mats for those 7th graders who are interested in wrestling this winter. The open mats will be held on November 3, 5, 10, and 12 from 6-7:30 at Edgewood. Please view the schedule to see all the dates and matches for wrestling 2015.

Are you interested in Theater and Drama? Sign up for EDGEWOOD DRAMA CLUB! The club will focus on all aspects of theater including improvisation, set design, blocking plays, scene work, stage make-up, monologues, skits and a spring production of our own!
Do you like to sing and perform for people? Is so, this club is for you. You will meet during your exploratory periods in Room 102. They will have two performances throughout the year. The 5th graders will meet weekly on Thursday and Friday. The 6th graders will meet weekly on Monday and Wednesday. All students are welcome to participate.
There are students nominated each month by their teachers to be a Four Star General. They are chosen based on leadership skills, character skills, academic achievements, and many other attributes. The City of Wooster will be starting on a project to repair the concrete streets in the Edgewood Allotment neighborhood, which includes Taylor Avenue, Kinney Street, Imgard Street, McClure Street, and Mather Hill Drive. The work is planned to start the week of Labor Day and will take about 2 months to complete.
Come and get involved with Edgewood by joining the PTO and helping our school. The meetings start at 6:30pm and are held in the school library. Below are the meeting date. We hope to see you there!
Boys & Girls Club of Wooster After School Program begins on August 25. It is held at Edgewood Middle School from 3:15-7 pm. The students will be provided with homework help, recreation programs, and meal/snacks. The annual membership fee is $15. Scholarships are available.
An additional dose of Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis immunization) is recommended for 11 and 12 year olds and required, by law, for all students entering 7th grade. This proof is needed at or before Fall registration!!!
