Susan Marlar was raised in Abbott, Texas, the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Masters of Taxation. Susan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has worked in the tax area with public accounting firms in Dallas, Waco, New York City and Charlotte, North Carolina where she was a partner in a local firm servicing privately owned companies. She currently is with Meaden & Moore as a Director in the Tax Services Group in the Wooster office.

She is married to David and they have a son and daughter who graduated from Wooster High School. They have lived in Wooster for thirteen years and have become involved in the many areas Wooster has to offer. 

Susan has volunteered for the district in various ways including classroom volunteer, PTO fundraising and treasurer, Task Force committees, Business Advisory committee, and athletic supporter.  Other volunteer activities in the community include organizing the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) in coordination with the United Way, participating on the United Way Allocations Committee, treasurer of the Deer Creek Development homeowners’ association, member of the Wooster Rotary Club Board of Directors, and co-chair of the Wooster Rotary Parade of Flags.

Susan was appointed to the Board in August 2007 and looks forward to continuing her work with the Board to maintain a strong school system in these changing times.
