Dr. Michael Knapic is a lifelong resident of Wayne County.  He graduated from The College of Wooster in 1991.  After receiving his medical degree and residency training from The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Knapic returned to Wooster joining Wooster Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in the summer of 2000.

Dr. Knapic serves as the team orthopedic surgeon for both Wooster High School and The College of Wooster.  The opportunity to work with young people to help them stay healthy in order to achieve their goals is very rewarding to him.  Additionally, he has been active in coaching youth sports including Wooster Youth Instructional Football and Parks and Rec basketball.  Through his efforts as co-chair of the Follis Field Turf Project fundraising committee, Dr. Knapic developed a strong interest in projects, policies and procedures within the Wooster City School district.  He plans to continue to help shape the future of Wooster Schools through his service on the board.

Dr. Knapic lives with his wife Debbie and children Hannah (2018 graduate), Garrett (11th grade) and Trevor (2014 graduate).  His interests include horses, outdoor activities, golf and playing music.
