The Wooster City School District, in partnership with the Wooster Community Hospital Health Systems, City of Wooster Recreation Department, Cleveland Clinic and YMCA of Wayne County, will host the second annual New Year Health Expo. The event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Wooster Community Center (241 South Bever St.).
“Starting a healthy lifestyle can be overwhelming,” said Heather Dennis, Gault Recreation Center manager and wellness coordinator for Wooster City Schools. “The goal of the Health Expo is to share the health and fitness opportunities in our community. We will have 25 vendors in attendance to show residents what the community has to offer.”
In addition to the vendor booths, attendees can try out sample classes including kickboxing, Zumba, yoga, martial arts, Durniat Strength Demo, DC Boot Camp, senior fitness, Iron Kids and PIYO. Additionally, attendees can participate in fitness center tours and a variety of health assessments.
Participants who complete various tasks during the Health Expo will be eligible for prize drawings.
The event is free for everyone in the Wooster community.
