Marin Dixon and Cassidy Sims Celebrate "1000" Milestones

Wooster Volleyball players Marin Dixon (SO) and Cassidy Sims (SR) were honored on Thursday night before the volleyball team’s final home game against Ashland. Dixon, achieved a milestone by reaching 1000 assists into her sophomore year, putting her on pace to reach greater achievements and possible record setting in her high school career.

“Marin has been running the offense the past two seasons at Wooster and by achieving this milestone, so early, is a good testament to her ability”, said Head Coach Jennifer Snowbarger when speaking of the milestone.  “With only being a sophomore, Marin has great things ahead of her in the next few years. We are proud of Marin and know that she still has great things left to accomplish at Wooster.”

Sims has achieved reaching 1000 digs, something that has revealed itself to be a result of her physical sacrifice through the years as the Generals Libero.  In speaking of the accomplishment, Coach Snowbarger said, “Without a doubt, Cassidy has earned this achievement. Her ability to dig a ball has been vital to our success as a team. Her ability to perform this skill has been recognized through the OCC the past two seasons, as being our league OCC Defensive Player of the Year. We are proud of Cassidy and the work that she has put in to get here.”

Congratulations to Marin and Cassidy on these accomplishments!
