The Wooster City School District will be able to provide students much-needed hygiene products thanks to donations from the United Methodist Church Women ($865.00) and AEP Ohio ($1,000).
“We are so incredibly thankful for the philanthropy of our wonderfully generous community,” said Dr. Michael Tefs. “With these terrific contributions, we will be able to purchase much-needed items for our General’s Closet that will greatly benefit our students.”
The Wooster City School District has a hygiene pantry located at the Board Office, called the General's Closet. It is a district-wide effort to provide personal hygiene products for students in need. Products are dispensed as needed to the schools and students by request of school personnel. If you would like to help, donations can be dropped off to the Central Office (144 N. Market St.) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. The most needed items are lice kits, combs, detergent and underwear (all sizes, male/female). A full list of the items needed for the pantry can be downloaded here.
