(Sept. 28, 2017) – Three Wooster High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit® Scholarship Program. The students are Nicholas Cosmo, Connor Niro and Amber Swigart.
“Congratulations to these talented students,” said Wooster High School Principal Tyler Keener. “They should be very proud of themselves for this achievement. We are glad they have been recognized for their dedication to academic success.”
Commended Students placed among the top 5% nationally for the over 1.6 million juniors who entered the 2018 National Merit® Scholarship Program by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit® Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Commended Students will be presented with a Letter of Commendation from Wooster High School and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).
“We are very pleased to have so many high-achieving students representing our district,” said Superintendent Dr. Michael Tefs. “Nick, Connor and Amber are three incredible students, in and out of the classroom.”
