The Wooster City School Board appointed Bill Gantz as its newest board member at its March 22, 2011 meeting. Mr. Gantz will replace Denise Parker who resigned last month due to personal and professional commitments.
Bill is a lifelong resident of Wooster. He graduated from Wooster High School as did his two daughters. He has been a member of the Wooster Planning Commission, and the Building and Zoning Appeals Board. Bill also served as the Athletic Booster Club president for Wooster High School.
Bill has always been a taxpayer interested in education. He has previous board experience in other areas. For the majority of his professional career, he has worked on projects relating to school facilities and has worked closely with a number of school boards.
Mr. Gantz works for The Ruhlin Company, a construction management, and sits on its board of directors. At The Ruhlin Company, he is the project executive for the Akron Public Schools project and has extensive experience working with the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC).
