Wooster City Schools Superintendent, Michael Tefs. Michael is the 22^nd Wooster City Schools superintendent.

Michael was born in Wooster Community Hospital and grew up in Lodi, Ohio. After graduating from the Cloverleaf Local School District he attended Baldwin-Wallace College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in Education degree. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in education.

Instructionally, he has taught Reading and Science in grades 4-8. Administratively, he has served as an assistant principal and principal of middle and high school, curriculum director and most recently, was the superintendent for the North Ridgeville City School District in Lorain County, Ohio.

Relocating to Wooster is not only wonderfully exciting for him professionally, but terrifically rewarding for his family. His wife, Gretchen, daughters, Julia, age 10 (a student at Melrose Elementary) and Anna, age 5 and of course their beloved lab, Callaway are excited about living in Wooster; a community of terrific history and values.
